The hourly rates, with effect from January 2014, are shown below. The time hired must include time for setting out, preparation and clearing up. There is a minimum booking period of one hour.

Please note that these banding criteria are guidelines. Banding is allocated by the warden under guidance from the Finance and Wardenship Committees.

Use of main kitchen for preparation and serving of food: from £5 (to be negotiated with the warden).

A discretionary discount may be applicable for use of multiple rooms.

There will normally be a cancellation charge:-
More than fourteen days prior to the event: 50%;
Within fourteen days of the event: full amount.

All charges are payable within 30 days of invoicing. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Lancaster Society of Friends’ with the relevant invoice number written on the back. Payment may be made in cash to the warden by arrangement.

Ground Floor

The Main Kitchen – This is a well-equipped self-catering facility with electric stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, water boiler and fridge. All the usual pots, pans, baking equipment, crockery and cutlery are available. The use of the kitchen for making hot drinks is not charged for, but should be arranged with the warden when a booking is made. Where the kitchen is required for the preparation and serving of food a charge will be made however.

Toilets – These include one with a baby-changing table and wheelchair access, and one with a shower cubicle.

First Floor

Kitchenette – This has facilities for making hot drinks.

Toilets – There are toilets and a shower.

There is limited parking to the rear of the meeting house, with priority being given to people with mobility problems and to those bringing in heavy equipment. Public car parking is in Dallas Road and in the railway station car park. There is some off-street parking nearby.

Disabled access is provided to rooms on the ground floor, where you will also find a toilet with wheelchair access.

A variety of folding tables are available, and requirements should be discussed with the warden at the time of booking.

IT facilities, projectors and other electronic equipment are not provided.

Storage space is very limited and hirers’ equipment should not be left on the premises.
